Phil Spencer’s new daytime TV show, Secret Agent featured our very own Philip Dale, Assistant Manager at the Dorking office, and one of our clients homes. This semi detached Victorian house is in a good location adjacent to open countryside, but only three quarters of a mile from the town centre and on the market for £399,950.

After five months of marketing and many viewers a buyer was still not forthcoming. Mr & Mrs Black have a family of three boys, a dog and a rabbit, and Phil Spencer found a number of ways the property could be better presented. Phil’s easy manner and astute observations quickly persuaded the owners to invest time and limited funds to improve the property. Major de-cluttering, the redecorating of some dark rooms, tidying, landscaping, and plans for a second bathroom made a considerable transformation. White & Sons then organised a number of viewers resulting in an acceptable offer being made just as the filming was being wrapped up. The property is now firmly under offer and proceeding to a buyer who is under offer in Kingston with a complete chain, and matters are progressing well.

Naturally Mr & Mrs Black are delighted with the outcome. Says Mrs Black “Phil’s intervention certainly made a great difference. It was hard work, but the results were very worthwhile. All I need to do now is to persuade three boys and a dog to keep the place as tidy as it looked on the day of filming!”
