Senior Position - Dorking Residential Sales

We are seeking an experienced senior person to join a fantastic team based out of our Dorking office, working closely alongside the Branch Manager in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Experience with high end prime properties and more rural farms and properties with land is essential.  This role offers an exceptional opportunity for career progression and earnings. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive market share through great customer service 
  • Maximise revenues and grow the property register

Weekend Agency Assistant - Dorking Residential Sales

Hours - Every Saturday, 9am - 4pm
We are looking for a confident person who is computer literate, possesses excellent communication skills to deal with the general public both face to face and over the telephone as well as accompany viewings. 
You must be hardworking, well presented and reliable to assist our sales team. 
You will need to be a car owner and hold a full driving licence.

Planning Consultant

White and Sons are a multi-disciplinary estate agency and surveying company with four offices in Surrey. Our successful planning team is now looking to appoint a planner to work alongside our existing Chartered Planners and Surveyors.

Our Planning Team works closely with our Land and New Homes Team and our Agricultural Surveyors as well as our Estate Agents. We have a broad existing client base, including a large number of farming clients as well as private and public landowners and developers. We regularly advise on all aspects of planning, from house extensions and enforcement enquiries to long term strategic development potential for very substantial developments. 

We are looking to appoint a planner to assist our team of Chartered Town Planners in all aspects of planning work.  The candidate should have some experience of working in the planning profession, although graduates would be considered for the position.

The post is based in our Horley office.
The post offers an excellent opportunity for career progression and experience within a long established and diverse company.
 
Job description

  • To assist the planning team with all aspects of planning work;
  • To draft supporting statements and application forms for planning applications and appeals;
  • To oversee planning application and appeal processes;
  • To manage external consultants to prepare supporting documents for planning applications;
  • To negotiate planning applications through development management process, including with Local Planning Authority Officers and Members, local residents and other professionals;
  • To represent clients at site visits and Planning Committee meetings;
  • To prepare documents in response to Local Planning Authority consultations.
  • To advise other staff (Estate Agents and Surveyors) on planning and development matters;
  • To advise other professionals (including Solicitors, Architects and Surveyors) on the planning application process;
  • To advise clients directly on planning and development.

The Planning Consultant will report, in the first instance, to the Associate Partner (Planning) and thereafter to the Senior Partner.

Person specification

Qualifications/knowledge

Educated to degree level
Working towards membership of the RTPI
Knowledge and understanding of the planning system

Skills & experience

Experience of working within UK planning system
Ability to write clear and concise letters and reports
Communicate effectively and diplomatically with clients, other staff and professionals, including Local Planning Authority staff and members
Manage workload and priorities and meet deadlines
Awareness of health and safety

Other

Full driving licence and access to car.
