Stephen has been in the property industry since 1994, starting with a large independent Estate Agents and gaining experience in various market places within Surrey. Stephen joined White & Sons in Horley in 2009 managing the Residential Agency Department and also dealing with Country Homes. The Horley branch also has a Lettings and Commercial Property Department.

In addition, Stephen has experience in the Land and New Homes industry in which he has a wealth of knowledge and experience and now heads up White & Sons' Land & New Homes. He focuses on Site Acquisitions, Development and Sales of New Homes, working with the firms long standing Professional Sales Teams and highly successful Planning Department. He liaises with Land Owners, Developers and Builders on existing and New Home instructions, acquiring and selling land together with finding and assembling development plots.

The only payments you can charge in connection with a tenancy are:
a) the rent
b) a refundable tenancy deposit capped at no more than five weeks’ rent where the annual rent is less than £50,000, or six weeks’ rent where the total annual rent is £50,000 or above
c) a refundable holding deposit (to reserve a property) capped at no more than one week’s rent
d) payments to change the tenancy when requested by the tenant, capped at £50, or reasonable costs incurred if higher
e) payments associated with early termination of the tenancy, when requested by the tenant
f) payments in respect of utilities, communication services, TV licence and council tax;
g) A default fee for late payment of rent and replacement of a lost key/security device, where required under a tenancy agreement
