The Revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) 2026

Published 21st August By Jennie Fundell
minute read
Following a consultation earlier this year and a number of announcements last week, the revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) was published on Monday 17th August.

Broadly speaking, the revised NPPF is positive for both plan-making and decision-making. It will shape planning decisions, local plans and future development opportunities across the country, from housing delivery and strategic planning to Green Belt, Grey Belt, infrastructure and the effective use of land.

At White & Sons, our planning and consultancy teams are here to help existing and prospective clients understand what these changes mean for their land, property and development projects.
